About the Role

HKG Duty Free is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial operations and support its continued growth. This executive will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, and financial strategy.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader with strong business acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate financial information into actionable business strategies. Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, or international trade is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's overall financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Lead and supervise the accounting and finance departments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis to executive leadership.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize financial risk.
• Oversee tax planning, regulatory compliance, audits, and relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend improvements to operational efficiency.
• Manage financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Evaluate business opportunities, investments, and expansion initiatives from a financial perspective.
• Ensure proper financial oversight of inventory, purchasing, and cost management.
• Work closely with executive leadership and department heads to support strategic and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced credentials preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including significant senior leadership experience.
• Previous experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or Controller in a mid-sized or large organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls.
• Experience overseeing accounting teams and managing complex financial operations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial management software.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, duty-free, or international trade operations.
• Experience managing multi-location or multi-entity financial operations.
• Knowledge of import/export operations and international financial transactions.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
