    Join Our Team as a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist - Part Time

If so, we want you to be part of our team.  We are looking for a Board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to handle inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. This position is scheduled for a 4 hour work week.
    Qualifications
    Education AND Experience
    • M.D. degree.
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist.
    • Must have and maintain a current Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
    • Must have and maintain a current Physician License and Controlled Substance License from the State.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
    •  Perform psychiatric admission assessments for new clients admitted to the program within one week of admission to the program.
    • Provide subsequent psychiatric rounds weekly to clients served.
    • Provide on-call coverage to program participants as needed, including medication and restrictive intervention orders, and consultation with staff during client crises.
    • Assist in maximizing billing for services provided
    • Exercise professional judgment in all matters involving the professional relationships and follow the standards of professional care, conduct, and responsibility applicable to rendering of professional services
    • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, etc.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with other departments
    • Attends training sessions as required for position and to maintain license/certification requirements
    • Explains procedures and treatments to clients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension through awareness of comfort and safety needs of client
    • Observes client, records significant conditions and reactions, and relays information regarding patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
    • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol, including taking vital signs
    • Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the client, as prescribed by centers policy including patient and family instruction
