Job Summary:
Mission Health is seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider to join our Behavioral Health team in Asheville, NC.
Qualified Candidates:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- PMHNP or psychiatry CAQ Physician Assistant certification required
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing advanced practice provider in psychiatry / behavioral health
- Candidates must be able to see pediatric patients
- Confidence in conducting psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management services
- Please note that this position does not offer visa support
Position Highlights:
- 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek
- 24 bed Child & Adolescent Unit
- 7 on / 7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts
- Supports Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists with therapeutic case management, ER case consults, and group therapy management

AboutMission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:
- 120-bed freestanding behavioral health hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
- Two adult, one geriatric, one child, and one adolescent inpatient units
- 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
- Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
- Active ECT program
