Civil Construction Paving Superintendent

• Lead all day-to-day paving operations on assigned construction projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to ensure efficient project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while monitoring productivity and performance.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all job sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections and pre-task planning meetings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and field personnel to address project challenges and maintain progress.
• Monitor labor, equipment utilization, and production rates to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Manage asphalt paving activities including roadway, parking lot, highway, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and daily logs.
• Resolve field issues proactively while minimizing project delays and disruptions.
• Support workforce development through mentoring and training field personnel.

• A successful Civil Construction Paving Superintendent should have:
• Proven experience as a Superintendent within heavy civil construction, asphalt paving, roadway, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of paving operations, grading, utilities, earthwork, and construction sequencing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and project documents.
• Experience managing budgets, production tracking, and project performance metrics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Prior experience on DOT, municipal, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
