Kimley-Horn''s San Jose office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Aviation team. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for aviation-related projects.
Perform analyses, calculations, and design tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technical staff, and construction-phase teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client needs.
Assist in permitting, report writing, and supporting deliverable production timelines.
Troubleshoot design issues and provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required; PE license is preferred, but not mandatory.
2+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on aviation-related projects (airfields, runways, taxiways, terminals, etc.).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil engineering software tools.
Understanding of FAA and aviation-related design standards and regulations.
Technical aptitude and detail-oriented mindset for production-focused work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range:
$105,000 to $125,000
