Position Summary

This role is for someone who wants more than a job. We're building something real - a portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial projects across New Jersey - and we're looking for a Civil Engineer who wants to be a core part of that story. The right candidate thrives when no two days look the same, takes pride in watching their work go from napkin sketch to ribbon cutting, and wants to work in an environment where growth is expected, not optional.

This team moves fast and operates across multiple asset classes on genuinely complex projects. The manager leading this group has deep field experience and is hands-on - expect real collaboration, direct feedback, and active investment in your development. The best engineers here don't just execute; they contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and make the work better. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.

  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff, sharing technical knowledge and setting the tone for a high-performing team environment.
  • Uphold and contribute to the firm's engineering standards and workflows in alignment with ownership expectations and industry best practices.
  • Track progress on assigned tasks and communicate status updates to project leads in a timely, organized manner.

  • Manage assigned project tasks and costs to support profitability and efficiency across civil engineering engagements.
  • Drive engineering work across multiple simultaneous projects, from master planning and site layout to grading, utilities, and permitting.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory codes, municipal zoning ordinances, NJ Residential Site Improvement Standards (RSIS), and agency requirements.
  • Prepare and lead production of concept drawings, drainage reports, sanitary sewer reports, and site investigation reports.
  • Support construction phase services, including review of shop drawings and submittals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work across development, entitlements, construction, architecture, and other teams to ensure engineering solutions are integrated effectively across all disciplines.
  • Coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors, and project leads to advance approvals and permitting.
  • Partner with architectural and interior design teams so civil engineering design supports the full project vision from site through building.

Consultant & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with external civil engineers, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and other technical specialists.
