Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A respected and growing St. Louis law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated litigation matters while working alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and other litigation documents.

• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.

• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.

• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.

• Prepare cases for trial and provide trial support as needed.

• Maintain strong client relationships while effectively managing deadlines and caseloads.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Active Missouri Bar license required.

• 3–6 years of civil litigation experience.

• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

• Experience managing litigation files with increasing independence.

• Ability to work collaboratively while providing exceptional client service.
