Join our team in the desirable University City area of San Diego! We prefer an in-office start to help you connect with colleagues and hit the ground running, with potential hybrid flexibility after your first 90 days.

Note

We're looking for attorneys with 2+ years of civil litigation experience who are comfortable taking ownership of cases and working collaboratively. Civil defense experience is preferred, but we're open to strong attorneys from other litigation backgrounds.

Job Description

As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you'll play a key role in representing clients, developing case strategies, and managing litigation from start to finish.

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation and defense matters with increasing independence.
• Develop effective case strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research, depositions, and discovery while preparing cases for hearings and trial.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff to achieve successful outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and thoughtful representation.
• Take ownership of your work while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in California.
• Experience managing litigation matters with limited supervision.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Civil defense or insurance defense litigation experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Motivated to grow professionally and take on meaningful responsibility.
