Civil Litigation Lawyer

My client is a fast-paced firm where associates thrive because of their access to unparalleled training. They are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable attorney to handle all aspects of a case, at times with the help of a managing attorney, from pre-suit through trial. The firm is a multi-office firm with the resources to provide excellent in-house support, current technology, and competitive benefits and salary.

Position Details:

• Responsible for high exposure litigation cases from inception to trial with the supervising partner.
• Conduct accident scene inspections with experts, draft reports and analyze liability, causation and damages.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings and argue motions.
• Interview witnesses, expert depositions, negotiate with opposing counsel and conduct legal research.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Litigation experience preferred in casualty, premises or product liability or complex litigation
• Ability to handle files from inception to trial
• Experience with depositions, hearings, meditations and trial.
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent research and writing abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong legal research skills and a strong work ethic.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois
