Civil Sitework Project Manager - Rumson, NJ

Hiring Need / Day to DayThe Civil Sitework Project Manager will oversee multiple site development and heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position is responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil construction operations, site development projects, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage civil sitework projects from award through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate field operations with Superintendents and Foremen.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and material procurement.
• Track project costs and monitor budget performance.
• Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Attend client meetings and serve as the primary point of contact.
• Monitor project quality, safety compliance, and production goals.
• Collaborate with estimating and operations teams during project startup and closeout.
• Resolve construction challenges and proactively mitigate project risks.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction or site development.
• Experience managing earthwork, excavation, grading, paving, underground utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost management.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and engineering drawings.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary: $120,000 - $150,000+ based on experience
