Civil Structural Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking two Civil Structural Engineers for an advanced nuclear technology company, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in ASME code-based structural design and seismic analysis looking to further their career in nuclear and advanced energy.

•      Serve as the technical authority on ASME BPVC Sections III and VIII and B31.1/B31.3

•      Design and analyze static and seismic structural systems, including equipment foundations, skids, supports, and buried equipment

•      Author and review calculation packages, including pipe stress, and support regulatory documentation

•      Audit designer and vendor deliverables and collaborate with mechanical, piping, and process engineers

Essential Qualifications

•      5+ years of heavy industrial structural design, preferably nuclear or energy; static and seismic experience required

•      Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline

•      Advanced knowledge of ASME BPVC Sections III and VIII; strong technical communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

•      Active PE or SE license

•      Knowledge of AISC, ASCE, IBC, or AWS codes; ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 experience

•      Experience with high-temperature gas systems or advanced reactor codes and standards
