Claims Customer Service Representative

Our client, a leading healthcare benefits organization, is seeking a Claims Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Claims Customer Service Representative, you will be part of the Claims Processing department supporting healthcare members and providers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Claims Customer Service Representative

Location: Roseland, NJ

Pay Range: $20-$23 hourly

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Handle inbound calls from members and healthcare providers regarding claims status, benefits, and eligibility inquiries.
• Process healthcare claims accurately through the benefits portal, ensuring compliance with plan rules.
• Review claims for correctness and completeness, requesting additional information when necessary.
• Communicate claim outcomes, appeal procedures, and other relevant information to members and providers.
• Coordinate with benefit managers and insurance carriers regarding claim issues and resolutions.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• Experience in medical claims processing or customer service within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD, CPT), and billing practices.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism in handling sensitive inquiries.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
