Job Details
- Semi-local dedicated account
- Deliver furniture, appliances, electronics, and lawn equipment
- Operate 53-foot trailers and 26-foot straight trucks with lift gates
- Deliver directly to retail store locations
- Preloaded freight
- Touch freight position
- Driver unload required at each stop
- Consistent freight volumes throughout the year
Physical Requirements
This is a physical delivery position.
- Unload freight using lift gates and dollies
- Tailgate deliveries at customer locations
- Ability to consistently lift up to 100 pounds
- Frequent loading and unloading activities throughout the workday
- Ability to safely handle large and bulky merchandise
Equipment
- Freightliner and International sleeper tractors
- 2020 Freightliner straight trucks with lift gates
- Modern, well-maintained equipment
- Trucks must remain at the account during time off
- Drivers are required to park equipment at the distribution center
- No riders permitted
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy freight
- Experience using dollies and lift gates preferred
- Strong safety record
- Professional and dependable work ethic
- Strong customer service skills
