Job Responsibilities

Safely operate Class B commercial delivery vehicles to transport building materials and supplies.
Complete local deliveries to residential, commercial, and construction job sites.
Load, secure, transport, and unload building supplies as required.
Inspect vehicles before and after deliveries to ensure safe operating conditions.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Verify delivery orders, materials, and quantities for accuracy.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
Assist with organizing, stocking, and moving materials throughout the lumber yard and warehouse.
Perform general yard duties, including maintaining clean and organized work areas.
Assist warehouse and yard personnel with additional tasks when deliveries are completed.

Key Requirements

Minimum 1 year of relevant Class B CDL driving or delivery experience required.
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and safe driving history.
Previous commercial or local delivery experience preferred.
Familiarity with local roads, delivery routes, and surrounding areas.
Ability to safely operate commercial delivery vehicles.
Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be comfortable interacting professionally with customers and the public.
Must be willing to assist with lumber yard and warehouse operations when not making deliveries.
Ability to work in an active lumber yard and warehouse environment.
Must be comfortable with physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, climbing in and out of delivery vehicles, and handling building materials.
Must follow all workplace safety procedures.
