The Classroom Tech/Bus Aide position works directly with our students on the bus and during the school day.   This position works with the supervising teacher to assist students with achieving their goals as outlined in their Family Support Plan or Individual Education Plan.  Assisting students with all aspects of daily living to include, gross motor skill activities, technology devices, personal care and feeding.   Provide input and assistance to the supervising teacher in the development of learning activities.  At Capstone Academy and on the bus the Tech/Bus Aide will ensure the safety and wellbeing of all special education students and all other students to ensure a safe environment at all times.

Requirements:

Must possess one year of experience working with mentally, physical or emotionally handicapped students in an organized learning or remedial institution or work involving patient care at a nursing home.  Any combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.  Must be proficient with the computer.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 7am - 1:15pm.  This is a 10 month position with a pay rate of $15.00/hour.
