The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine cleaning and light maintenance duties while taking pride in ensuring our school facilities are well maintained and ready to support teaching and learning.SALARY: CSEA Salary ScheduleHOURS: Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.FLSA Status: Non-ExemptRequirementsWorking knowledge of building cleaning methods, supplies, materials, and equipment.Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and perform routine custodial tasks.Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions of the position.Ability to work independently, follow directions, and contribute as a member of a team.Essential DutiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and maintain floorsVacuum carpets and rugsWash windows and other glass surfacesEmpty trash and recycling receptaclesDust woodwork, furniture, fixtures, and other surfacesClean and sanitize restrooms and replenish suppliesReplace light bulbs as neededOperate custodial equipment and tools safely and effectivelyShovel snow and assist with seasonal grounds maintenanceAdjust thermostats and perform other routine building support tasks as assigned Scarsdale Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
