Cleaning and Maintenance

Job DescriptionCleaning and Maintenance Worker keeps buildings, offices, and facilities clean, sanitary, and in good working order. Key Responsibilities

• General Cleaning:Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; dust furniture, fixtures, and commonareas. 
• Sanitation: Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches); restock paper towels and soap. 
• Waste Management:Empty trash cans and recycling bins, and transport waste to designated disposal areas. 
• Equipment & Supply Management: Operate vacuums, floor buffers, or pressure washers; track and reorder cleaning supplies. 
• Safety & Security: Monitor facilities for hazards, clean up spills immediately, and lock doors or check equipment after hours.
• Reporting: Notify management or maintenance crews when major repairs or specialized contractor services are needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience:0 to 2+ years of prior janitorial, housekeeping, or basic maintenance experience preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift heavy objects (frequently up to 50 lbs).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and basic hand or power tools.
• Soft Skills: Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay Rate:  $18.50/Hr  Location:Piscataway, New Jersey
