Why do we need you ?

The Cleanroom/Assembly Technician assembles and tests high purity components for the semiconductor industry. Assembly and testing is performed in a clean and controlled environment, in accordance with all work and test instruction. The Cleanroom/Assembly Technician uses hand tools, custom fixtures, and precision-measuring equipment to certify that all products being assembled will meet customer product specifications. When products are returned, this role works with the quality department to help determine root causes for returned products, along with providing needed documentation for all warranty and non-warranty repairs.

Essential Functions:

• Read blueprint drawings, schematics, and job orders to understand customer specifications for assembly and testing of components.
• Use spot welders, assembly picks, various hand tools and installation tools to assemble quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, without rejection, in a fast-paced work environment.
• Assemble quality components that meet customer specifications and deadlines, without rejection, in a fast-paced work environment.
• Adhere to clean room protocols for gowning and working in a class 5 and 7 clean room.
• Use basic computer navigation to retrieve work instructions describing the assembly and testing requirements for each assembly to be performed.
• Verify and document product conformance (Visual and dimensional) using various measuring tools. E.g., calipers, gages, pi tapes, etc.
• Use small hand tools like screwdrivers and adjustable torque wrenches to assemble components.
• Perform testing on components using air and or water per the test instructions. Troubleshoot and perform related repairs on components that fail testing.
• Clean, label, and package components per product specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all company EH&S policies, 5S principles, and related procedures.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost, delivery, and other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
• Product assembly/packaging, washing, & inspection
• Documentation of certs and certification of compliance

Is this job for you ?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/clean room environment
• 1 year of experience in a class 5 or 7 clean room
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written materials, including blueprint drawings, schematics, job orders, etc.
• Knowledge of and ability to use basic quality measuring equipment, i.e., calipers and visual scopes.
• Ability to work with small parts
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge
• Able to operate pneumatic and water testing equipment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $21.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
