Our team is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic team player to join our staff as a 4-hour Clerical Assistant. This position provides administrative support to the school office while helping create a welcoming environment for students, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage multiple tasks with a positive attitude. Strong communication, customer service, and basic computer skills are essential. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others and is committed to supporting the daily operations of our school. Position Details

Hours: 4 hours per day

Contract Length: 190 days per year

• 170 student instructional days
• 4 holidays
• 7 planning days
• 9 extended days

Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status: Full-time with benefits

Employment Type: 11-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
• Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Compensation & Experience Credit

2026-2027 Pay Scale

• Starting Pay (Step 0): $16.46/hour
• Experienced Pay (Step 10): $20.26/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

• The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.

Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
