Switchboard Operator/admin., 3rd shift

Position: Switchboard Operator/admin., 3rd shift

Client: IN-FSSA

Location: Richmond State Hospital 498 NW 18th Street Richmond, IN 47374

Duration: 03+ Months

Shift Timings: 10pm to 7am with a 1-hour, non-paid lunch break.

Responsibilities:

• Answering the main hospital phone
• Transferring calls
• Monitoring the fire panel systems and using the radio to contact Security if a trouble alarm alerts
• Calling and relaying information to 911 if a code is called
• Using the PA system for hospital codes if requested
• Assisting with fleet key check out
• Assisting with staff meal ticket purchases
• Other clerical tasks as assigned

Required Skills:

• Prior experience as a hospital switchboard operator or clinic unit clerk
• Knowledge and experience in a role utilizing HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to react calmly and quickly in the case of a medical or security emergency.
