About the Opportunity

MCL Talent Partners is recruiting on behalf of a Birmingham-area client seeking motivated individuals for its sales, client account management, and leadership development team.

As a Client Account Manager, representatives begin in a direct, client-facing role working with individuals and families to manage accounts and provide tailored protection solutions. As you gain experience, you have the flexibility to either focus on expanding your own portfolio of clients or advance into a leadership path involving recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and team management.

No previous industry or management experience is required. The client provides comprehensive, structured training, one-on-one mentorship, licensing support, and ongoing professional development. This position is an ideal fit for someone who is competitive, coachable, excels at building relationships, and is motivated by long-term growth.

What You'll Do

• Client Account Management: Meet directly with individuals and families to assess their needs, present custom benefit options, and manage their protection accounts.
• Relationship Building: Establish, grow, and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
• Pipeline Activity Management: Maintain structured daily sales activities, schedule and conduct client appointments, and oversee follow-through on client applications.
• Continuous Development: Participate actively in structured account management training, field coaching, and weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions.
• Leadership Advancement: Acquire foundational skills in recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and team development for those pursuing the management track.

Two Career Paths

• Account Management Production Track
  Focus on building and retaining your personal client portfolio, strengthening account management skills, and maximizing individual production earnings.
• Leadership Management Track
  Learn to recruit, onboard, and mentor new account managers while stepping into team leadership responsibilities. (Note: Advancement into leadership is based on merit, performance, and skill development—not prior management experience.)

• Interest in professional growth, sales, and/or developing others

• Willingness to complete required state licensing

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, management, recruiting, athletics, or other people-focused roles can be helpful but is not required.

Training Development

Compensation

• Performance-based compensation plus performance bonuses

• Target first-year earnings: $47,600 - $100,000+, depending on individual production and performance.
