We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Client Billing Specialist to join a dynamic Finance team in Boston. In this key role, you will act as the primary liaison between billing attorneys and clients, managing the full-cycle billing process from proforma preparation through invoice submission and accounts receivable follow-up. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused billing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full monthly proforma billing cycle, including preparation, review, and editing
- Ensure all billing complies with client-specific guidelines and requirements
- Submit invoices through various electronic billing platforms
- Serve as the main point of contact for attorneys and clients on billing-related matters
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure prompt payment
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing processes and efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of billing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience with electronic billing systems; familiarity with Elite 3E is a plus
- Strong understanding of client billing guidelines and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
