Requirements:
5+ years of progressive technology sales experience, with a demonstrated track record supporting Higher Education and Academic Health customers within Texas.
Experience navigating the academic health landscape, including relationships within academic medical centers and hospital-affiliated research institutions, and familiarity with healthcare-specific technology needs such as EHR systems, clinical data interoperability, and HIPAA/HITRUST compliance.
Familiarity with healthcare IT ecosystems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and medical device/IoT integration within hospital and clinical research settings is a plus.
Extensive experience engaging C-suite and executive-level stakeholders (provosts, CIOs, CMOs, and other institutional leaders), leading complex, consultative, value-based sales conversations that influence long-term institutional and clinical strategy.
Deep expertise in the Texas higher education and academic health landscape, including procurement processes, funding mechanisms, contracts, and go-to-market strategies, with the ability to advise customers on navigating complex research, grant, and clinical funding models.
Knowledge of research computing, funding and grant-related technology investment cycles is preferred.
Well-established executive relationships with Texas R1 research universities and/or academic health systems are highly desirable.
Demonstrated success selling complex, multi-solution technology portfolios across one or more of the following areas:
Cybersecurity
Networking and Infrastructure
Cloud and Data Center
Collaboration
Data, Analytics, and AI
Strong track record of uncovering enterprise-wide academic and clinical challenges, developing multi-year strategic account plans, and orchestrating cross-functional resources to deliver measurable outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, and to build and manage strategic partner and OEM relationships.
Executive-level communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Candidate preferably resides in Texas, ideally near a major metro area (e.g., Austin, Houston, or San Antonio).
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $90,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
