Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative - DREAM SCHEDULE, NO EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS!

Veterinary Surgical Centers | Gaithersburg, MD

Full-time | Monday through Thursday, 8am to 6pm | No weekends

Pay: $23 to $25 per hour based on skills and experience

If you have a customer service background, stay calm when the phones are busy, and love helping people and pets, we'd love to meet you. Veterinary experience is a plus, but not required. We'll train you.

What you'll do

• Greet clients and their pets at the front desk and help them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
• Answer a multi-line phone system with a friendly, professional, and efficient approach
• Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on missed visits, and enter new client information accurately
• Keep clients updated on wait times and delays
• Answer basic questions about pet care and routine procedures
• Process invoices and payments, including cash, credit card, Scratchpay, and CareCredit
• Relay phone, email, and fax messages promptly and keep client records up to date
• Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and running smoothly using daily checklists

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service, receptionist, or front desk experience required, ideally in a veterinary, medical, or dental office
• Comfort with computers, scheduling software, and handling payments
• A warm, caring presence and strong organization skills when the day gets busy
