Position Summary•Responsible for developing a plan of care to meet the patient’s nutritional needs.
Education•Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
Licenses and Certification•Registered Dietitian or license pending
Experience and Skills•No experience Necessary
Role Specific Responsibilities•Screens patients for determination of nutritional status.•Recommends supplements, advances diets and provides nutritional support to physicians/staff.•Consults with inpatients, family, physicians, nurses and staff, as appropriate, to provide nutrition education•Assesses and reassesses patients at nutritional risk and makes recommendations for nutrition therapy.•Develops or orders nutrition education materials for patients, employees and the community.•Reviews and revises modified diet information provided by Food & Nutrition Services.•Provides nutritional education to employees, outpatients and community members as needed.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
