The Clinical Instructor will be expected to demonstrate independent clinical judgment and operative competence in general neurosurgery. Responsibilities will include managing neurosurgical emergencies and trauma cases, performing cerebrospinal fluid diversion procedures, including ventricular shunt placement and revision, and treating neurosurgical infections and other commonly encountered general neurosurgical conditions. These fellows may come from institutions around the world to conduct studies involving microsurgical and endoscopic anatomy, comparative analyses of operative approaches, cadaveric dissections, and the development of innovative surgical techniques.

The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for supporting the organization and execution of laboratory projects, guiding fellows in anatomical dissections and research methodology, ensuring appropriate laboratory practices, and facilitating collaboration among clinical faculty, residents, research fellows, and visiting investigators.
