Clinical NICU Pharmacist
Position Details:
- Full-Time Position
- Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm)
- Salary Range: $73.00-$88.19/hour
Job Summary:
- NICU/Clinical Pharmacist role in a healthcare facility environment
- Requires comprehensive clinical review of all NICU medication orders to ensure safety and efficacy
- Responsible for core clinical pharmacist responsibilities such as antimicrobial stewardship, renal dose adjustments, and anticoagulation monitoring
- Conducts drug utilization review studies
- Consults with medical practitioners on medication orders, patient reactions, and errors
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Director of Pharmacy
Qualifications:
- At least a bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required, a Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred
- Must have current pharmacist licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Hospital experience preferred but not required
- Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
