Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Clinical Pharmacist for a growing healthcare organization. This is a 100% remote contract opportunity offering $57.00-$67.00/hour DOE, with the potential to convert to a contract-to-hire position. We are seeking clinically strong pharmacists who enjoy working directly with members to improve medication adherence, optimize treatment plans, and support individuals managing chronic and complex health conditions.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a trusted clinical resource for members, providing medication counseling, disease state education, and treatment support through virtual and telephonic interactions. This position partners closely with care managers, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes while helping members understand their medications, overcome barriers to care, and navigate complex treatment plans.

This role is ideal for pharmacists with experience in managed care, specialty pharmacy, ambulatory care, population health, or other patient-facing clinical settings who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide telephonic and virtual medication counseling, education, and disease state management to members.

  • Optimize medication therapy, improve adherence, and assist members in navigating complex treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with case managers, providers, vendors, and interdisciplinary care teams to support quality patient outcomes.

  • Document member interactions, clinical interventions, and care plans within CRM and case management systems.

  • Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up regarding medications, treatment plans, and health-related barriers.

  • Maintain quality, productivity, and documentation standards while supporting a collaborative team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.

  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a clinical, specialty pharmacy, ambulatory care, managed care, care management, or other patient-facing setting.

  • Experience counseling patients on medications, treatment plans, medication adherence, and disease state management.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage members with varying levels of health literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managed care, population health, specialty pharmacy, or care management.

  • Experience supporting members managing chronic and complex health conditions.

  • Diabetes education or disease management certification.

  • Strong telephonic and virtual patient engagement experience.

  • Previous experience supporting health plan members or self-funded populations.

  • Licensure in multiple states, particularly in the Western and Midwestern United States.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • 100% remote position.

  • Candidates willing to work Mountain or Pacific Time Zone hours are strongly preferred.
