• Join TeamHealth as an Emergency Medicine Clinical Programs Manager, a highly strategic, fully remote leadership role responsible for identifying operational improvement opportunities, developing scalable solutions, and deploying enterprise-wide initiatives across more than 550 emergency departments nationwide.

This role is ideal for a clinically trained emergency medicine leader, preferably an RN or PA, with experience leading Emergency Department operations within a large health system or multi-hospital organization. Rather than providing direct facility support or overseeing day-to-day Emergency Department operations, you will use data, analytics, and clinical expertise to drive performance improvement initiatives that can be implemented at scale across the enterprise.

This is a fully remote, enterprise-focused role responsible for developing and deploying performance improvement initiatives across more than 550 Emergency Departments nationwide. This position does not provide direct facility support, onsite operational leadership, or oversight of day-to-day Emergency Department operations. Candidates must have leadership experience within a large health system and a demonstrated track record of identifying opportunities, developing initiatives, and implementing solutions across multiple hospitals, regions, or markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee ED operational performance across multiple groups, identifying trends and opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality outcomes at scale.
• Collaborate closely with group leadership, Vice Presidents of Operations, Regional Medical Directors, System Medical Directors, and Facility Medical Directors to improve department metrics and identify opportunities for growth expansion and innovation.
• Facilitate communication and alignment across a broad set of stakeholders with varying priorities and backgrounds.
• Partner with Performance Improvement Consultants (PIC) and Regional Performance Directors to implement and disseminate best practices across the enterprise.
• Lead large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives involving clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
• Lead the development and execution of national Emergency Medicine strategic initiatives, with a focus on ED throughput optimization and ensure measurable, sustained improvements.
• Lead special projects aligned with Emergency Medicine service line priorities.
• Establish structured project plans, governance models, and performance tracking mechanisms to ensure successful execution and scalability of projects.
• Review and conduct deep-dive analyses of quarterly performance metrics, to identify root causes and translate data into actionable insights and plans to address identified opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze performance data, including throughput, quality, and patient experience metrics across all regions.
• Identify high-performing and underperforming sites and collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to implement targeted improvement strategies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
