Description

Overview

The Clinical Services Coordinator I will provide support related to patient services in an assigned area. The majority of this position’s work product is directly related to the delivery of patient services and is focused on providing day-to-day physician and clinic support to meet the needs of the program, clinic, and patients served. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institute’s minimum standards.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure follow up calls to patients and families are completed and documentation of such patient contact is recorded accordingly.2. Monitor all new and follow-up patient appointments using Schedule Generator and work with physicians, Care Center, families, and patients to ensure proper scheduling related to the patient’s needs are met. Keep physicians informed of schedule changes.3. Provide administrative support to include answering telephones, greeting visitors and staff, receiving faxes, and sorting and distributing mail to the appropriate personnel.4. Complete applicable documentation when lab results are obtained so that nurses and providers have appropriate information.5. Assist providers with completing prescription requests. Fax or mail requests to appropriate place/person.6. Process training forms in a timely fashion for new fellows, residents and students.7. Assist providers with dictations to ensure compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.8. Assist with managing provider’s calendar. Schedule meetings, conferences, and lectures as needed.9. Create and set up Zoom links for telehealth visits.10. Review and monitor provider schedule in Epic for providers on assigned team.11. Assist with scheduling appointments by working with the care center.12. Cross train and gain knowledge of NDM clinics so that individual skill set is broad enough to provide team coverage for NDM support clinics and programs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:• Must possess and maintain certification, at or above the Institute’s minimum required level of proficiency, in the specified non-English language (Spanish). Able to speak in both languages with ease and confidence in routine tasks and with familiar topics, can ask simple questions and can generally be understood by native speakers who are unaccustomed to dealing with non-natives.

 

EDUCATION:• HS Diploma or GED required• Associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare administration preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:Two years of previous administrative support experience required.

USD $40,043.12/Yr.

Maximum pay range

USD $66,204.53/Yr.
