Position Overview:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision and for engaging with participants and families by delivering direct mental health services, including individual and/or group counseling sessions, group-based workshops, and case management. The Maternal and Child Health Program intends to expand mental health resource navigation by providing access to comprehensive mental health services for individuals and families navigating the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood from pre-conception through the postpartum period. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is accountable for ensuring the delivery of equitable, client-centered services consistent with professional standards and scope of practice.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized mental health treatment plans addressing participants' emotional, psychological, and social needs within the Maternal and Child Health Program.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family psychotherapy to program participants, ensuring culturally responsive, client-centered care.
• Provide clinical services consistent with professional standards and scope of practice to ensure appropriate referrals and case management.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups, psychoeducational sessions, and workshops supporting maternal mental health and family functioning.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation for all services, participant interactions, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with program leadership to support case consultation, continuity of care, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)

Experience:

• At least one (1) year of experience providing direct mental health services.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing, or be eligible for Texas licensure upon hire.
• Valid Texas Driver's License upon hire.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment

General Information

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position.
• Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Must be willing to flex work hours when required, including evenings and weekends.

Work Environment:

• This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits needed to private residential homes, clinics, and other community organizations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

• This is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
