    Pay Rate: Starts at $78,000 and can go up depending on relevant experience.

    Shift Expectations: Monday - Friday standard day shift.

    Position Summary 

    The Clinical Supervisor approaches this role with an emphasis on collaboration, shared accountability, and clinical partnership, supporting staff as active participants in a coordinated service system. The Clinical Supervisor provides oversight in a way that strengthens clinical judgment, promotes reflective practice, and ensures alignment with person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care. 

    This position is responsible for the direct supervision, development, and performance management of clinicians and case managers on multidisciplinary teams while ensuring high-quality, participant-centered behavioral health services consistent with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and recovery-oriented practice. This includes responsibility for clinical quality, risk oversight, treatment integrity, and ensuring services meet medical necessity, regulatory requirements, and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards. 

    The Residential Clinical Supervisor oversees day-to-day clinical operations, staff performance, treatment integrity, and interdisciplinary coordination within assigned residential programs. Working closely with residential leadership, medical providers, peer leaders, and Community Services leadership, this role promotes team-based care, strengthens clinical quality, and supports consistent implementation of organizational priorities. 

    While this position combines operational and clinical supervision during the current phase of organizational development, it is designed to support New Narrative's long-term transition toward matrix leadership and interdisciplinary models of care. 

    Core Responsibilities 

     

    Staff Supervision & Leadership 

    • Lead, mentor, and develop residential clinical and case management staff, fostering professional growth, reflective practice, accountability, and alignment with New Narrative's mission, values, and Team-Based Care model.  
    • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and retain qualified staff in partnership with Human Resources.  
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support employee development, engagement, and continuous improvement.  
    • Conduct regular supervision meetings, annual performance evaluations, and professional development planning with assigned staff.  
    • Address performance concerns through timely coaching, documentation, corrective action, and performance improvement planning in accordance with agency policy and Human Resources practices.  
    • Support a positive team culture that emphasizes psychological safety, collaboration, learning, accountability, and participant-centered care.  
    • Ensure staff understand and consistently implement agency policies, clinical standards, documentation expectations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.  
    • Foster effective collaboration among clinical, residential, peer, nursing, and medical staff while constructively addressing conflicts or barriers that impact participant care.  
    • Promote equity, trauma-informed leadership, cultural humility, and recovery-oriented practices in supervision and team development.  
    • Model professionalism, ethical practice, accountability, and collaborative leadership in daily interactions. 

     

    Clinical Leadership & Quality  

    • Provide clinical consultation on assessment, treatment planning, engagement strategies, and complex behavioral health presentations.   
    • Review clinical documentation to ensure quality, medical necessity, and alignment between treatment planning and interventions.   
    • Ensure compliance to agency, Medicaid, CCBHC, and licensing standards 
    • Monitor fidelity to evidence-based and recovery-oriented practices. 

    Risk Management &Care Coordination 

    • Coordinate staffing needs with residential leadership to support continuity of care, participant safety, and effective team functioning. 
    • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team-based care delivery. 
    • Support communication across internal and external systems of care to ensure aligned, coordinated, participant–centered care. 
    • Support staff in crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessment 
    • Participate in critical incident reviews and risk mitigation processes. 
    • Escalate high-risk or complex clinical situations to the Director of Clinical Practice or designated leadership when indicated.

    Required Qualifications 

    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field, with the ability to obtain a QMHP credential through MHACBO within 2 weeks of hire 
    • Minimum two (2) years post-graduate clinical experience in behavioral health services. 
    • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, or complex behavioral health needs. 

    Desired Qualifications 

    • Licensed or provisionally licensed in the State of Oregon (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) 
    • Experience working with individuals with serious mental health concerns and complexity.  
    • Experience in community mental health, residential, or crisis services 
    • Experience with CCBHC service delivery models. 
    • Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or mentorship. 

    Other General Expectations: 

    • Maintain a valid driver’s license, CPR, and First Aid certification.  
    • Use a company vehicle and / or a personal vehicle to support participant access to appointments and activities. 
    • Complete required agency trainings and stay current with training.   
    • Follow all New Narrative policies, procedures, and safety protocols. 
    • Maintain security of all New Narrative interests
