Clinical Support Coordinator

Payrate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
 
Summary:
The Medical Care Solutions Federal Employee Program team provides prior authorization and utilization management services to our members. The Clinical Support Coordinator will report to the Operations Manager.
 
Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of phone inquiries and load faxed authorizations.
• Perform data entry including authorization forms, high-risk member information, verbal HIPAA authorizations information for case creation.
• Provide support to Advanced/Specialist CSC.
• Assign initial EOA days or triage to nurses based on established workflow.
• Assist Case Manager with tasks such as mailings and surveys.
• Research member eligibility/benefits and provider networks.
• Verify member eligibility.
• Process hospital admits.
• Send referrals to Case Management as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Requires a strong attendance record.
• Requires solid technical skills – ability to navigate MS programs and learn in-house software.
• Requires sharp communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: experience with medical coding - CPT/Dx.

• Strong computer skills including MS-based programs.
• Solid work ethic.
• Strong communicator.
• Solid attendance record, team player, quick learner.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, especially as a Medical Assistant, front office work at a doctor's office.
• Call center/data entry experience.

 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
