CLINICAL SYSTEMS TEST TECHNICIAN

Location: On-site only, Santa Clara/Sunnyvale/Cupertino

Introduction

We're seeking a hands-on technician to set up, configure, and test clinical instruments, prototypes, and software used in clinical user studies. The ideal candidate has experience bringing up and troubleshooting biomedical instruments/prototypes and some familiarity working with biomedical or physiological signals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BS in a life sciences, bio/biomedical engineering, or related technical field
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating biomedical instruments
• Demonstrated ability to bring up and troubleshoot instrument/device prototypes
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of biomedical/physiological signals
• Experience analyzing biomedical data (e.g., PPG, EEG, spectroscopy)
• Working knowledge of Python

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and test clinical instruments, computers, and device prototypes ahead of user studies
• Deploy and verify clinical software against specifications
• Follow test SOPs and instructions to collect data on device prototypes
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate/communicate issues to the study team as they arise
• Understand each study's objectives and visit structure, and help refine procedures to meet study goals
• Maintain accurate records of instrument setup, calibration, and test sessions
