Job Summary:

The Clinical Trials Program Lead will provide day to day technical expertise and training to research staff, along with mentorship and one on one support. They will also perform research tasks for the program such as filling out and/or approving various study forms and documents and submit Expanded Access Program requests. They will coordinate Oncology research trials for the Cancer Center and associated satellite sites at a high level of complexity and involvement, primarily involving investigational medications and treatments, including early or late phase FDA-regulated trials. Ensure compliance with federal guidelines at every step. Interact and correspond with clinicians, sponsors, cooperative groups, Upstate''s Institutional Review Board and regulatory agencies. Enroll, register and screen patients for Oncology clinical research trials; collect and submit clinical trial patient data. Perform various administrative duties, which may include proper collection and shipment of lab samples; regulatory upkeep and maintenance of clinical research study supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree and 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, along with mentorship and leadership capabilities. SoCRA or ACRP certification required. Oncology research experience required.
