    Job Description

    Status: Part Time Hourly

    FLSA classification: Non-Exempt

    Summary of the Position: The Clinician is responsible for implementing and facilitating the clinical components of the Dallas Program at Youth Advocate Programs (YAP). This role includes leading up to two psychotherapy groups per week using the Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) curriculum. The Clinician may also provide individual and family psychotherapy services to program participants as needed. All services must be delivered in accordance with YAP policies, applicable federal and state regulations, and with fidelity to the SPARCS model.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Masters degree in a behavioral health or mental health field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related discipline.
    • Current Texas licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred.
    • Must be in good standing with the applicable licensing board and maintain all required credentials throughout employment.
    • Candidates holding provisional, temporary, or associate-level licensure may be considered with documentation of an active supervision agreement that meets state requirements.
    • Experience providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy services to adolescents and families preferred.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and experience working with youth who have experienced chronic stress, trauma, or behavioral health challenges preferred.
    • Ability to facilitate therapeutic groups and implement evidence-based practices with fidelity to established treatment models.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills. Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
    • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
    • Flexible Hours - May include evenings and weekends.
