Cloud Engineer Lead

Summary:

• Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM EST

Responsibilities:

• Define and enforce enterprise cloud architecture standards and best practices.
• Lead large-scale cloud initiatives, migrations, and modernization programs.
• Partner with security, networking, and application teams to ensure integrated solutions.
• Drive adoption of automation, DevOps, and governance frameworks across teams.
• Serve as a technical advisor to leadership and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Azure experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, storage, and compute.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Defender for Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-prem integration scenarios.

Preferred Skills:

• Azure certifications - one or more of the following:
  • AZ-104: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Highly Preferred)
  • AZ-305: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • AZ-400: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
• 5 years Hands-On Azure Engineering Experience.
• Experience deploying IaC with Terraform.
• AWS hands-on experience.
• Experience working in a regulated financial environment.
