Cloud Management Team Member

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Management Solution Architect / Engineer with expertise in cloud management, FinOps, solution architecture, data engineering, and software development. The ideal candidate will have pre-sales experience in a service provider environment and a strong background in designing and delivering FinOps solutions across multi-tenant cloud environments.

The candidate will work closely with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations, optimize cloud costs, and ensure successful consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design cloud management and FinOps solutions, including proposals, estimates, and pre-sales architecture.
• Lead cross-functional teams in delivering FinOps programs using product-oriented methodologies, roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable outcomes.
• Support customer cloud migrations and drive customer satisfaction across multiple engagements.
• Apply Agile software development principles, including SDLC, CI/CD, and pair programming.
• Develop data models, data pipelines, and database solutions using SQL and Python.
• Implement IT Financial Management (ITFM) showback and chargeback solutions integrated with cloud cost and usage data.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations, technical documentation, and interactive web-based reports.
• Collaborate with customers, cloud providers, and internal teams to manage delivery risks and ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Pre-sales experience in a service provider environment focused on cloud management and FinOps solutions.
• Experience in solution design, effort estimation, and customer proposal development.
• Program management experience leading cross-functional FinOps initiatives.
• Software development experience using Agile principles, SDLC, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong data modeling, data engineering, database management, SQL, and Python skills.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Engineer certification, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
• Experience with ITFM showback/chargeback and cloud cost integrations, such as Azure Cloud and Usage Reporting.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as IBM Apptio Cloudability.
• Practical experience with FinOps optimization, including rightsizing, waste elimination, Reserved Instances, and Savings Plans.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, API integrations, and data visualization for cloud costs, tagging, showback, and chargeback.
• Service mapping experience using hybrid tools such as ServiceNow APM.
• Experience implementing architectural governance and managing project risks and issues.
• Experience supporting public-sector or multi-tenant shared services programs.
