    Description

    Cloud Mitigation Project Manager

    Location: Tallahassee, FL

    Duration: 24 months (Onsite)

    Seeking for a Cloud Mitigation Project Manager to lead and coordinate the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to the cloud. This role requires a seasoned IT project manager with strong cloud fundamentals and the ability to thrive in a dynamic technical environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction of the Project Management Office lead.
    • Plan, coordinate, and deliver cloud migration projects, ensuring clear ownership of timelines and partnering with engineering, security, and business teams.
    • Develop and maintain detailed migration plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation.
    • Lead day-to-day delivery of cloud migration workstreams, tracking progress and managing risks.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical teams, business units, vendors, and leadership.
    • Coordinate workloads and dependencies across cloud environments.
    • Identify migration risks early and manage change requests.
    • Maintain project documentation and conduct post-milestone reviews.
    • Plan and orchestrate cutover events and go-live activities.
    • Monitor project budgets and forecast cloud spend during transition.
    • Manage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 3–5 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years on cloud or infrastructure projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise IT projects on time and within scope.
    • Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud migration concepts.
    • Experience managing project plans, timelines, and budgets through full delivery lifecycles.
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
    • Experience coordinating migrations across multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
    • Project management certification such as PMP or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
    • Familiarity with networking, security, and data migration in cloud environments.
    • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices preferred.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach under pressure.
    • Collaborative leadership style that builds trust across teams.
    • Adaptability in fast-changing technical environments.
