Job Summary: operate CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection, and testing of production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs. Mounts or installs tools, attachments, fixtures, or work pieces on CMM.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Job functions
Measure products that companies manufacture and document their specifications.
Inspect fixtures, check for certification, and communicate any issues
Keeping a record of inventory and maintaining the machine’s software capabilities
Create program set-up and execution documentation
Handing out operator check sheets and quality equipment to operators
Assist in training other employees in CMM operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
1-3 years of experience and or training on CMM machines
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, math data, reports, and instructions
Proficient in using measuring instruments, i.e. caliper, micrometer, height gages, etc.
