CNA / Activities Assistant – Per Diem Town of Windsor – Caring Connection
The Town of Windsor is seeking an enthusiastic and positive individual to work as a per-diem CNA/Activities Assistant at the Caring Connection Adult Day Health Center for approximately up to 8 hours weekly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists clients with ADL’s such as toileting, ambulating, and eating
Facilitates recreation and therapeutic programs such as art, music, chair exercise, word games, discussions, etc...
Observes and reports any changes or concerns regarding clients to Adult Day Care Professionals to Adult Day Care Professionals and /or the Caring Connection Manager
Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as receiving the public, answering phone, activity calendar planning, assist with meals
Participates in the maintenance of the physical environment of the program areas
Our Ideal Candidate will:
Possess the basic knowledge of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of older adults
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with both clients as well as other staff members
Ability to be flexible and work well in a team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, with one year of experience working with older adults
Connecticut Certification as a Nurse Assistant
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $18 to $19 per hour - depending on experience
Successful candidates will be subject to the Town of Windsor background screening process, which includes a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen including screening for marijuana.
