CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide

Your WISH Senior Solutions is a licensed home care agency headquartered in Ashburn, VA serving areas of Northern Virginia including Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and Prince William County.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
  

• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  

• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  

• Help with mobility and physical therapy exercises
  

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
  

• Follow care plans and communicate effectively with other staff
  

• Assist with non-medical procedures as directed by the nurse aide coordinator and/or by the registered nurse
  

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and protocols
  

• Reminding clients to take their medications at the scheduled time periods
  

• Planning and preparing meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client
  

• Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks
  

• Accompany client to do grocery shopping or other errands when needed
  

• Observing and reporting changes in client's condition to the caregiver coordinator and/or registered nurse
  

• Participate in continuing education courses (CEUs)
  

• Recording essential information applicable about the care of the client
  

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed a state approved CNA training course; or have successfully passed an equivalency exam and obtain written evidence of such completion
  
• CNA certification or Virginia state license
  
• Driver's license and proof of current auto insurance
  
• Current CPR or BLS certification
  
• Proof of negative TB (PPD or chest x-ray)
  
• Must consent to a mandatory state, federal, and motor vehicle driving record check
  
• At least two professional references
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
  
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and moving clients
  
• Reliable and punctual
