Role Summary

Under the direction of nursing leadership, the Scheduling Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the home care department. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality, compassionate home care services through effective coordination, communication, and oversight of daily operations. It is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting elderly or frail patients in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Duties

  • Facilitate and coordinate home care services for patients to ensure timely, effective support

  • Assist with the supervision and evaluation of caregivers

  • Oversee general home care operations to support quality and continuity of care

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with providers, patients, family members, and the team

  • Provide administrative support to the nursing department as needed

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience

  • Prior experience working with elderly or frail populations is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, creativity, and flexibility

  • Strong interest and proven ability to work with elderly or frail patients

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting home care or community-based healthcare programs

  • Prior exposure to caregiver coordination or healthcare operations

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
