A day in the life

You start by reviewing the scheduled job list prepared by your supervisor and clock in to track time accurately. First up: conversationally programming one of our three Kellenberger Kel‑Vista machines and setting up multiple tools for a production run. Mid‑shift, you switch to the Kel‑Vita for a non‑round feature, then finish the day between centers on our Jones & Shipman CNC grinder. Throughout, you partner closely with Quality Assurance technicians on critical inspections, handle customer components with extreme care to minimize scrap, and keep quality and efficiency front and center.

What you’ll master

• Core processes: grinding between centers, chucking OD grinding, and chucking ID grinding
• Kellenberger Kel‑Vista (3 machines): conversational CNC programming and multi‑tool setups
• Kellenberger Kel‑Vita: the same plus non‑round grinding capability
• Jones & Shipman CNC grinder: conversational programming and precise between‑centers work

How you’ll contribute

• Accurately track job time via clock‑in/clock‑out
• Execute the scheduled job list and adapt as priorities shift
• Collaborate with QA technicians on critical inspections
• Protect customer parts with exacting care to reduce scrap
• Drive consistent quality and efficiency on every run
