CNC Lathe Operator

Qualifications:
1%2B years' experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
6%2B months' experience operating CNC machines is required (Lathes or Mills)
Ability to speak and understand the English language
Intermediate computer and math skills to be able to measure parts and learn to program/program the CNC machinery and robot
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
Maintain high attendance standards
Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly
Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery.
Ability escalate problems as they arise within the department.
Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment.
Adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.
The 6%2B mth of CNC experience would be great to find. I would open to meeting with some with a strong manufacturing background that has the mechanical aptitude to learn it as well.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety conscious and quality-focused manner.
The role is accountable to load parts in the machine, cycle the machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Utilize hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish and package all production in accordance with the router steps and stamp off operations before moving to the next operation.
The position runs productions lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.
