CNC Machine Operator Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to bend and form sheet metal.
• Operate CNC equipment to insert hardware into sheet metal.
• Join metal sheets using spot-welding equipment.
• Set up, clean, and maintain machine tooling.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain efficient production while meeting quality standards.
• Handle materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
• Count, organize, and stack finished parts.
• Deburr finished parts.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company procedures, safety rules, and production requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer to operate manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent attendance and dependability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Preferred Skills – Not Required

• Experience setting up and operating CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• Experience using calipers and other precision measuring tools.
• Previous sheet metal manufacturing experience
