We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our first-shift team. This role is perfect for someone with strong experience in CNC machining, excellent math skills, and the ability to work in a precision-driven environment. You'll be responsible for operating CNC mills, programming with CAMWorks, and producing high-quality mold components to exact specifications.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay:  18-$23/hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with machine shop personnel to uphold shop standards
  • Partner with engineers and technicians to review mold designs
  • Analyze mold component designs using SolidWorks
  • Determine specialized setup requirements based on tooling and stock
  • Develop tool paths in CAMWorks
  • Set up CNC mills and tooling using a presetter when needed
  • Operate CNC machines and monitor cutting operations
  • Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges
  • Communicate with mold assemblers to ensure seamless workflow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Safely lift up to 75 pounds and use mold carts to move materials

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with CNC machining and machine setup
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD/CAM software, especially SolidWorks and CAMWorks
  • Proficient in reading decimals, dimensions, and blueprints
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle physical aspects of the role
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CNC turning
  • Understanding of wire EDM, manual milling/lathes, and surface grinding
  • Strong computer skills for programming and documentation
