What You'll Do As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you'll be responsible for producing quality parts that meet customer and engineering specifications while supporting continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities - Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform inspections using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment
- Verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
- Change tooling, inserts, and fixtures as needed
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Complete quality and production documentation
- Troubleshoot machining issues and assist in resolving production challenges
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve efficiency and quality
Advanced-Level Opportunities Experienced machinists may also: - Perform complex machine setups
- Create and modify conversational programs
- Optimize speeds, feeds, tooling, and processes
- Conduct tooling trials and process studies
- Train and mentor developing machinists
- Support new product launches and process improvements
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications - Experience operating CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications - CNC setup experience
- Conversational programming experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
- Experience mentoring or training others
