CNC Machinist - (Aerospace)

JOB DUTIES:

• Able to read and interpret tooling prints, work instructions, policies and procedures
• Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles
• Able to solve practical problems with a variety of variables
• Able to calculate figures and amounts
• Able to perform entry level machining
• Able to maintain records and quality standards
• Able to operate manual and CNC lathes
• Able to use and read basic inspection tools: calipers micrometers, optical comparator
• Includes point grinders, Centerless grinders, Stamping machines
• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or verbal from blueprints and or sketches
• Able to work accurately to meet precise tolerances of (+ - .001).
• Material knowledge of tool steels and carbide
• Maintain proper identification of parts and ensure accurate, reliable records are documented and maintained
• Able to investigate and resolve tooling issues causing quality errors and slowdowns
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment operated
• Able to perform basic set-up of one to two production machines with minimum help

Skills/Knowledge:
* Ability to lift 50 lbs
*Ability to use small tools, electrical and other
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
