CNC Machinist

About the Role

You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machining equipment to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or related equipment to machine parts to specified tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining sequences.
• Load programs, select proper tooling, and adjust offsets to achieve consistent results across production runs.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machine performance during CNC operations, making adjustments to maintain quality and prevent downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance, keep the work area clean, and follow all safety procedures.
• Document production data and report any tooling or material issues to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate with team members and lead hands to meet schedules and resolve machining challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC equipment, or completion of a machining or manufacturing training program.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and work from detailed specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and basic shop mathematics.
• Understanding of CNC programming concepts and the ability to make offset and tool changes with guidance.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work comfortably in a production setting.
• Willingness to learn new processes and grow your expertise over time.
